UR JANUARY Round Up

Morning Crew,

Better late than never but January moved at some pace, and it was one busy month at Urban Gym.

From podium finishes and first-time events to packed sessions, community runs, and big plans taking shape behind the scenes, 2026 has already started with serious momentum.

The energy across the gym has been outstanding, and it's been class to see the consistency and connection building week after week.

Here's a look back at January, and what's coming up next πŸ‘€

Member Highlights

January delivered a huge milestone for Urban Gym with our first-ever podium finish at a major event.

Massive congratulations to Theon, Chris, Draven, and Jack, who placed third at TRYKA. A brilliant achievement and a real reflection of the work they've put in over time.

Huge credit as well to Tina, Rachel, Denise, Sabrina, William, Laura Furlong, Sophie Doyle, Ian Flood and Aisling O'Connor who all flew around the course and represented Urban Gym with pride and grit.

And a special mention to Chris Maxwell, who completed his first HYROX event in Manchester earlier this month. A massive personal milestone and one to be proud of.

Moments like these show what's possible when consistency, coaching, and community come together.

uR Run Club, A Community Beyond the Gym

UR Run Club is officially back, and it's been great to see so many members getting involved.

These moments are a reminder that Urban Gym is about more than training. It's about connection, perspective, and shared experiences. In a busy world, taking time to move together matters.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us on the Greenway, and to the team at Wild & Bean for the warm welcome and great coffee. We'll definitely be back.
