Ur June Round-Up

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.Afternoon Team,

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through 2025

Time is flying and so are you! Your consistency, energy, and support continue to make UR community something special, and June was no exception.

From epic events to standout moments on and off the mats, let’s take a look back at everything that went down last month.

UR Summer Games

June saw us host UR Summer Games and what a day it was!

With over 65 members taking part, we put your Strength, Endurance, and Metcon skills to the test. The gym was fully transformed for the occasion with flags, banners, outdoor astro, and even a runway in and out of the gym!

A huge shoutout to Grenade for fuelling the crew with snacks, and of course, to all of you who showed up with UR unmatched energy. Events like these don’t happen without your incredible support and behind the scenes, our coaching team deserves massive credit for planning, testing, and executing the day to perfection.

UR Summer Social

The celebrations didn’t stop there. That evening, we gathered at Mannions for a night of good vibes, live music, and connection. Special thanks to member Jack Gladney, who lit up the night with his talent, remember the name! With dancing, conversation, laughter, drinks, and finger food flowing, it was everything a community social should be.

Member Spotlights

Sabrina O’Connor hit a jaw-dropping milestone in June, her 1000th session at Urban! Since joining in 2020, she’s taken on every gym challenge and crushed external events like HYROX Vienna, Hell & Back, mountain climbs, and more! All while juggling family and work life. What a legend!

Welcome Baby Conor! A heartfelt congratulations to Sarah and Bobby Hennessy, who welcomed their son Conor in June! Sarah was an inspiration throughout her pre natal journey, training all the way to 39 weeks. We’re so proud of her dedication, and we’re thrilled for their new chapter as a family.

UR Podcast: S1 Wrap-up

June marked the end of Season 1 of UR Podcast and what a return it’s been.

Hosts Ken and Andy brought powerful, relatable conversations from the gym floor to your ears, covering everything from beginning your fitness journey to navigating injury, grief, pregnancy, parenting, HYROX, and more.

June’s standout episodes:

  • Ep 7 – Training Through Injury

  • Ep 8 – Training as a Parent

These episodes struck a chord with many, reminding us all that training is about far more than just physical fitness.
